    Optimus recalled two models of its Infrared Quartz Radiant space heaters this week after discovering how easily it can lead to fire hazards. The two models recalled are product numbers H-5210 and H-5211. Both models were produced in 2011-2012.

  • OSHA Fines Tenneco For Safety Violations At Auto Plant

    The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) fined Tenneco Automotive Operating Co. this week for workplace safety violations at its plant in Hartwell, GA. Inspectors identified 13 health and safety violations at the manufacturing plant, amounting to $62,000 in fines.

  • Hit-And-Run Ends Tragically For Michigan Bicyclist

    A 69-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Monday night. The man was riding his bicycle across Michigan Avenue in Lansing, MI when he was hit by a Chevy Cruze. The cyclist was rushed to a local hospital, but died of injuries shortly after midnight.

  • Louisiana Driver Backs Out Of Driveway And Kills Motorcyclist

    Louis Perkins died in a motorcycle accident last week in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana. Christine Lynn backed out of her driveway and onto Highway 40 failing to notice Perkins on his motorcycle. Perkins unsuccessfully swerved to miss Lynn’s car.
