Eric J. Cavett

Eric J. Cavett has been practicing law since 2008. He has litigated complex litigation all over the country including: pharmaceutical litigation, commercial litigation, securities litigation, class actions, intellectual property, catastrophic injury and wrongful death.

Eric is licensed to practice in all Oklahoma State Courts, all Oklahoma Federal Courts, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Eric is originally from Mustang, Oklahoma, where he graduated from Mustang High School in 1998. He received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration in finance and management information systems from the University of Oklahoma in 2002. After graduation from OU, he worked in the automotive industry in Detroit for three years. He returned to Oklahoma City and graduated from Oklahoma City University in 2008 with his Juris Doctorate degree. Eric served for two years as a staff member for the OCU Law Review journal.

Eric enjoys giving back to the community. Eric has served as a board member for the Cavett Kids Foundation since 2008, holding various positions and is the current Board President. Cavett Kids provides positive experiences through camps and events to children battling life-threatening and terminal illnesses, serving over 20,000 kids per year. Eric is also an active member of the Turner Inn of Court, Oklahoma Association for Justice (board member), and Catholic Grade School Athletic Association (board member).

Eric J. Cavett has been selected to the Oklahoma Super Lawyers “Rising Stars List” from 2011 to 2019. Eric was selected to the Oklahoma Super Lawyers for 2022 and 2023. Eric has also been nominated for the Top 40 under 40 for the National Trial Lawyers Association.

Eric enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, partaking in any outdoors activity, and cheering for the Sooners and Thunder. Eric’s burning desire in life is to take the Cavett Kids Foundation over the $2 million mark.
